How To Prepare Your Growstones Planting Mix

For first time use for soil mixes, the "Soak Poke & Drain" method described below is recommended. It is simple, easy and mess-free.

1. While Growstones are still in its plastic lined bag, open a hole at the top of the bag.
2. Fit a water hose, and fill the bag with tap water. Let soak upright for an hour.
3. Poke small holes at the bottom of the bag and let the water drain away.
4. Rinse and drain once more to eliminate any dust remaining inside the bag.
5. Mix one part Growstones with 2 to 4 parts of sphagnum peat moss, coco coir, or composted soil.
6. Place the Growstone planting mix in your growing container or bed.
7. Transplant by carefully placing the roots of your seedling/plug in a hole large enough to contain them. Cover seedling roots with Growstone planting mix.
8. Press gently with your hands to create good contact between the roots and their new environment.
9. Water immediately after planting.
10. Water again each time mix feels dry to tough about one inch below the surface.
