A great source of trace elements for fertilizing and soil conditioning, Alfalfa Meal is loved by roses and earthworms alike. Works very well as a compost bio-activator due to its remarkable nitrogen to carbon ratio and also makes a great mulch for use in the planting and growing stages of your plants life.

Ingredients: Organic Alfalfa Meal

Application Rates:
Apply 5 to 10 lbs per 100 sq.ft.

Roses: Apply 1/2-1 cup per plant in early spring and mix into surrounding soil. Repeat application when blooms appear and again in late fall at half the recommended amount.

Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds: Apply 5-10 lbs per 100 square feet and thoroughly mix into soil. For transplants, add 1-2 tablespoons per hole and water in well. Apply 2-3lbs as a top dress 1-2 times thrroughout the growing season to promote plant growth.

Trees & Shrubs: For new plantings, mix 1/4 cup per cubic foot of soil before transplanting. For established plants, mix 1 tablespoon per gallon of soil.
